I remember hearing somewhere that you could put a drop of cooking oil in the bottom of your votive holder to keep the candle wax from sticking to the glass bottom (for easy removal after the candle is burned all the way down).

Cooking oil is probably not a good idea, because it could catch fire. A little water with some liquid dish washing soap in it works best.
